Before Mindy joined our team, she had already built a strong foundation in nursing. Her experience spanned emergency room care, radiology, cardiology, physician offices, and behavioral health facilities. But it wasn’t until her father’s diagnosis that she considered a path in skilled nursing. “They told me my dad wasn’t going to make it,” she said. “Instead, I got him more time because everybody fought for him and encouraged him to fight.” It was through that experience that Mindy discovered the heart of skilled nursing—and fell in love with it.
Our skilled nurses are focused on patients who may not have the immediate support network they need. Preparing food, washing our clothes, cleaning ourselves – we take these acts of self-care for granted until, suddenly, they are pulled away from us due to external circumstances. Mindy has over a decade of experience under her belt, but when she applied to join our team as an Assistant Director of Nursing, she quickly realized the advantages our careers offered.
