Responsibilities:

Security Systems Management

• Research, install, configure, & maintain security software, devices, and systems
• Firewalls & IDS/IPS
• Security information & event management (SIEM)
• Vulnerability management
• Antivirus/antimalware solutions
• Access control systems
• Email security & Cloud Security Systems
• System hardening

Security Event Management

• Continually monitor security reports and system logging
• Participate in the Incident Response process
• Identify anomalous behaviors and respond to threats
• Conduct forensic analysis where necessary and present findings
• Update and improve security reporting and alerting where necessary

Data Recovery & Business Continuity

• Participate in business continuity planning and management
• Participate in disaster recovery tests and exercises
• Document findings, identify gaps, and recommend improvements

Strategy & Planning

• Participate in the development of security and privacy policies and initiatives
• Assist with the selection and evaluation of software, devices, and systems
• Ensure compliance with regulations and policies relating to security, privacy and HIPAA

Communication & Audit

• Conduct user security training, company alerts, and notifications
• Participate in penetration testing and tabletop exercises
• Develop and conduct phishing tests
• Conduct internal risk assessments and security audits
• Participate all stages of external security audits

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in IT systems, networking and/or security administration
• Bachelor’s Degree in a field of information technology, or equivalent experience
• Hands-on software, hardware, and networking troubleshooting experience
• Windows Server, Linux, VMWare
• Cisco networking, wireless, network access control, VPN
• Microsoft 365 & Azure Cloud
• Data protection, backup, and restore/recovery
• Experience in multisite environment
• IDS & IPS
• Log & event management solutions (SIEM)
• Proven understanding of HIPAA and HITECH requirements
• Experience in researching, vetting, and selecting technical solutions to solve problems
• Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
