As the Kitchen Supervisor at The Laurels of Walden Park, you will supervise the facilities Dietary Department, and provide nourishing, palatable and well-balanced meals to meet the daily nutritional and special dietary needs of our residents.

Responsibilities:
- Supervises, interviews, hires, and trains dietary employees.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Plans, assigns, and directs work.
- Receives calls and finds replacements for absent staff.
- Monitor and maintain all logs in the kitchen to include but not limited to food temperatures, dish machine temperatures and sanitizing, sanitation buckets, food usage, maintaining MSDS sheets, use-by dating of food items, refrigerator and freezer temperatures, food usage, etc.
- Organizes food preparation and services to ensure food is served to Residents within scheduled time frames.
- Provides food alternatives of similar nutritional value for Residents who refuse food served.
- Orders food economically and efficiently from approved sources considered satisfactory by federal, state and local authorities.
- Maintains sufficient inventory of food and supplies. Establishes effective system to track inventory and secure storage areas.
- Ensures that food is received, stored, prepared, held and served under sanitary conditions to prevent the transmission of food borne illness.
- Completes and maintains all Food and Nutrition Services Department records and forms related to sanitation and food acceptance including administrative statistics on number of meals served, food costs, menus and repairs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prefer one-year supervised food service experience in an institutional setting.
- ServSafe Certification required within 90 days of employment.
