The Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor is responsible for assuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment in the facility. Laundry services provided are maintained in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents.

Responsibilities:

• Interviews, hires and trains employees.
• Plans, assigns and directs work.
• Prepares work assignment sheets.
• Receives calls and finds replacements for absent staff.
• Prepares performance evaluations with the understanding that such evaluations impact tenure of probationary employees and wage increases of non-probationary employees.
• Schedules and adjusts lunch and rest breaks

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum or two (2) years housekeeping experience in an institutional environment.
