Corporate Director of Quality and Support Services

The Corporate Director of Quality and Support Services is a senior leadership role responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of enterprise-wide clinical programs, policies, education initiatives, and quality performance frameworks across the organization’s skilled nursing and post-acute portfolio.

This position provides strategic direction and operational oversight for Support Services disciplines, including Infection Prevention, Food and Nutrition Services, Recreational Therapy, and Social Services. The role supports regulatory compliance, standardization of best practices, clinical program development, interdisciplinary alignment, and measurable quality improvement outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and maintains enterprise-wide clinical and support service programs aligned with CMS, federal, and state regulatory requirements.
  • Authors and revises corporate policies, procedures, toolkits, and standardized workflows across all support service disciplines.
  • Designs evidence-based clinical pathways and quality frameworks to promote consistent care delivery.
  • Ensures alignment of programs with QAPI structure and measurable performance indicators.
  • Oversees the creation of standardized forms, audits, dashboards, and tracking tools.
  • Provides oversight and direction to support services to support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Monitors survey trends, F-tags, infection control citations, dietary deficiencies, social services compliance, and life enrichment requirements.
  • Assists with audits and mock surveys.
  • Assists with the development of corrective action plans and sustainable compliance strategies as needed.
  • Collaborates with regional and facility leadership during survey cycles, complaint investigations, and regulatory reviews.
  • Develops clinical programs, standardized tools, training modules, and competency-based learning pathways for clinical and support service departments.
  • Leads the optimization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) functionality to improve workflow efficiency, documentation accuracy, regulatory compliance,
  • Ensures regulatory updates and evidenced based practice changes are translated into operational education.
  • Supports census growth initiatives through quality differentiation.
  • Aligns quality initiatives with operational and financial performance.
  • Provides executive-level reporting on quality metrics and performance trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree in Nursing preferred. Active RN license.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care.
  • Multi-state and corporate level oversight experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance, QAPI leadership, program development, and Informatics.
  • Strong background in policy development, informatics, and education design.
  • Infection prevention certification (CIC) or related certification required.
  • Advanced knowledge of CMS Conditions of Participation and F-tag regulations.
  • Strong regulatory interpretation skills.
  • Program design and implementation expertise.
