The Laurels of Sandy Creek has a great opportunity for a Door Screener

The door screener greets and screens approved visitors and vendors and facilitates communication throughout the facility.

You will join an experienced, hard-working team that values communication and strong teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Complete screening question and monitor temperature on all approved visitors and vendors and document on log
  • Follow infection control practices in cleaning thermometer between use
  • Accept and sign for packages
  • Answer phones
  • Assist with resident/guest and family communications.
  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the day
  • Notify the Charge Nurse of any resident attempting to leave the facility without approval and proper accompaniment
  • Follow established isolation precautions and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • No experience necessary
  • Training provided on the job
  • or acceptable exemption required.
